Okay, so I noticed in a previous journal entry I mentioned my extreme obsession with Doctor Who. That obsession has not lessened. It's probably grown even stronger since my recent discovery of tumblr (check out my half-blank reblog page at futuredoctorscompanion231.tumblr.com). But I just have to say that my obsession with Doctor Who is only rivaled by my obsession with Sherlock. I suppose I've probably proved that already with my extensive Johnlock fanfiction.
(This is a draft. It will be finished at a later date.)

Hello once again, faithful followers. I'm sorry I've been away for so long. I was recently at summer camp and did not have access to a scanner where I could upload my artwork. I'm working on a couple of pieces now, including a modified book I bought from the library. It's a work in progress, but I have great expectations for it. It's called "a book of books" (no caps), and it has some amazing photographs of old books in it, awesome quotes from famous authors, and a lot of empty pages. *Laughs maniacally* I simply can't wait to fill those pages with some of my artwork and odd ramblings. I've already started on some of the pages. I'm particular excited for the astronomy page, and I have big plans for a page with a picture on it of a book titled "London." I was looking up quotes today, and I found on from Samuel Johnson: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." As much as I would love to see it, I've already been to Europe once and my parents insisted that there would be no more expensive overseas journeys for quite some time. However, I can bask in the wonderful photographs that will no doubt be scattered throughout my modified book.
I've also been very busy working on a rather large project that I started a while back. At first, I had no intentions of ever publishing it, here on DA or otherwise. But I think that once I've made some more progress on it, you will all enjoy it immensely. It's a comic or graphic novel about Doctor Who, titled "Collide-ascope." I thought that it was quite clever, considering that during the episode, all of the characters come together, and the end result is absolute chaos. You'll have to read it to find out what happens. For those of you who don't like graphic novels or prefer my writing style to my crappy doodles, I am also in the process of creating a transcript. There will be three official version of Collide-ascope by the time I'm finished- the comic version, the book version (with chapters and descriptive narrative), and the script version (with terms from what would be an actual script for a movie or television show, like close-up and wide shot, location: TARDIS interior, etc.). I only recently picked up the sketchbook and started drawing again. It's taken me three nights just to get the transcript down for what I have. I hope you appreciate what I go through for you guys...
Anyways, the next big project I'm working on is the reaction meme. Oly-RR did one for his OC, so I decided I'd give it a try. I've been doodling the characters over the past couple of days, and not only have I completed a reaction meme for my OC Raven, but I also did one for my doodle-Tenth Doctor. I just have to scan the images and assemble it on the computer. That shouldn't take very long.
Finally, another deviant uploaded a photo manipulation this morning to the Doctor Who Fan Club on DA, and I was so inspired that I asked for permission to write a fiction piece on it. The artist granted me permission as long as I gave credit and provided a link. So, Exhibit A: fav.me/d58nuht to the piece of inspiration, and Exhibit B: my promise to write this piece and give you guys artwork to admire as soon as possible.
Hold on to your seats, because it's going to get a little bit crazy around here.

Today, it's rainy and cloudy and actually kind of miserable. Therefore, I'm sitting at home and soaking up all of the available Johnlock artwork that is available (which anyone can see by my recent rash of favorites). I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at the amount of Johnlock that has been posted here. After all, nobody ships Johnlock harder than we do (except Mrs. Hudson). I've known all along that Johnlock is massively popular. However, I didn't expect as much fluff as I actually encountered while sifting through it all. I'm not really sure why I was shocked by it; I don't know if I was expecting more passionate love-making and less dialogue or not. Either way, I've distinctly enjoyed pieces like "Love, Finally" fav.me/d55qbm1 and "Proximity" fav.me/d4vds49 .
There are two reasons (maybe three) for my sudden interest in Johnlock. First, boredom. Like I said, rainy, cloudy, and miserable. That doesn't leave a lot of options. But reading Johnlock is certainly among the best of them. Second, I love Sherlock and Watson and Johnlock and everything about it. They are such an adorable couple, and they were obviously meant to be together. And finally, I suppose I'm jealous. I mean, I know they're fictional (even though part of me doesn't want to believe that), but they have a better nonexistent love life than I do. I live vicariously through the writings of other Deviant Shippers.
A rainy day. The sky, a shade of overcast. And Johnlock.
How sad.

So, I haven't talked to my ex-boyfriend in nearly a month. We really had something good, but he broke a promise and he broke my heart, as cliche as that might sound. When I finally gave him a second chance, he told me he "didn't have time for a girlfriend" and "wanted us to spend some time apart." I was furious. After all I'd done for him, he was breaking it off because he didn't have time. It wasn't like we'd been spending a whole lot of time together anyways, what with him living an hour away and all. So I yelled at him. He unfriended me and we hadn't spoken since.
Today, I logged on to my e-mail and saw an e-mail from him. Part of me was tempted not to open him, not to reply, make him squirm. But curiosity won out in the end, as it usually does. He had e-mailed me to say goodbye. He's leaving for the naval academy in three days. He broke up with me because he thought it would be harder for us to be boyfriend and girlfriend while he was working towards his goals. Think of it; my ex-boyfriend, a uniform.
Now I'm sitting with the phone in my lap, the numbers I knew by heart staring up at me from the screen, dialed in but not called yet. I'm terrified to, but I know that it's what I have to do. It's like a jump. A leap of faith. A hero of mine once said that "Relationships are a leap of faith. Maybe it's time you jumped." So I'm going to.
I hit "Talk."
I jump.
